One of Florida’s top courses sits just minutes from South Beach. The championship 18-hole course, Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne, is located on an island 10 minutes from downtown Miami, providing golfers a view of the city skyline, the bay waters, mangroves and other lush, tropical foliage. The only public course on the Bay, Crandon is considered one of the most beautiful, yet difficult par-72 courses in the Sunshine State.

Considered by many native Floridians as the state’s signature golf course, Crandon has hosted numerous tour stops, including an 18-year run as an annual stop on the Senior PGA Tour. The course offers a unique playing experience including seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and holes overlooking Biscayne Bay. It is the only course with a subtropical lagoon in North America.

Originally designed by Devlin/Von Hagge in 1972 and redesigned by Von Hagge in 1993, this 18-hole championship course is one of the top public golf courses in America. Golfers will be challenged from the start, with a tough par-5 dogleg, but Crandon’s most famous hole is the #7 hole. This par-4 doglegs over one of the seven lakes and a mistake to the left will send the ball into the bay.
