1010 Kingsmill Road
Williamsburg, Virginia 23185
Kingsmill Resort is more than a typical resort; it is another world thanks to its unparalleled range of accommodations, stunning setting and endless recreational and leisure activities. From a relaxing visit to the spa; a meal at one of four dining venues; to playing tennis or golf; there is something for everyone. Visitors can also spend the day at nearby attractions such as Busch Gardens, Water Country USA or Colonial Williamsburg.
This award-winning resort is home to two championship golf courses – The River and The Plantation. Kingsmill offers an exciting variety of challenges to take your game to the next level thanks to their celebrated golf academy and year-round golf schools.
The River Course
Length: 6,831 yards
Bordered by the calm waters of the James River, this famed championship course has tested the mettle of the game’s most famous names. For more than three decades, The River Course has hosted PGA and LPGA events. Since 2003, the LPGA has visited Williamsburg every May for The Kingsmill Championship. Renowned course designer Pete Dye tinkered just enough with his layout to bring out subtle details making for a truly unforgettable round of golf.
The Plantation Course
Length: 6,254 yards
A truly historic course with landmarks from Richard Kingsmill’s 1736 plantation woven into the landscape, the Plantation Course is an Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay design that challenges players of all skill levels and favors accurate iron play and good putting.
The fairways are generous, but water comes into play on eight holes, and there’s no shortage of deep woods or yawning ravines. Large greens provide inviting targets for approach shots, but putting is no breeze with an undulating and swale-filled trip to the cup.
