Designed by legendary golf course architect Donald Ross, the Dunedin Golf Club opened in January 1927. Between 1945 and 1962, it was the home of the PGA of America. During that time, Dunedin hosted 18 Senior Tour Championships.

In 2014, Dunedin became the third course in Florida to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

In 2024, the facility underwent a complete restoration by architect Kris Spence to return the course to its original Donald Ross design. The course rewards strategic play and careful shot selection. Golfers will encounter subtle doglegs, cleverly placed bunkers, and undulating greens that demand precision and creativity. The course’s routing takes full advantage of the area’s natural beauty, winding through mature pines and oaks, with water hazards that come into play on several holes.

Long a favorite among golf enthusiasts in the Tampa Bay area, the course offers a timeless atmosphere that appeals to both seasoned players and newcomers alike.

Dunedin is also home to the Highland House, which offers a welcoming and vibrant dining experience that perfectly complements a day on the course. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, the restaurant features a menu that blends classic American favorites with fresh, locally inspired dishes, making it a popular spot for both golfers and locals.

Dunedin Golf Club is a municipal course that is open to the public.
