Both courses were redesigned by the legendary architect Pete Dye and present challenges for golfers of all skill sets.

Ackerman-Allen Course
Par: 72
Length: 7,546 yards
Rating: 76.8
Slope: 137

Originally, the course was known as Purdue South and was built in 1934 by architect Bill Diddel. In 1968, the course was redesigned by Larry Packard, and in 1998, it was developed further and renamed Ackerman Hills, in recognition of Jim and Lois Ackerman and their support of Purdue Athletics. In 2016, following a redesign by Dye, the course reopened in its current state.

The Ackerman-Allen Course is a parkland-style, par-72 championship golf course featuring large bent-grass greens, fairways and tees. This course challenges golfers with rolling hills, tree-lined fairways, white sand bunkers and selective water hazards. Ackerman-Allen offers five sets of tees with the championship tees playing over 7,500 yards and the forward tees playing at 5,300 yards.

Kampen Course

Length: 7,465 yards
Rating: 75.9
Slope: 143

In 1994, Dye walked what was then North Course of the Purdue University Golf Courses looking to come up with possible changes due to an upcoming road construction project. After walking the course, Dye devised a plan that was much more than a simple renovation, his goal was to produce a golf course that would provide a challenge to all golfers.

In the fall of 1996, construction began on the Kampen Course, a links-style, 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course featuring large bent-grass greens, fairways and tees, vast sand bunkers, native grasslands, ponds and a natural celery bog.

Kampen is rated one of the top collegiate courses in the nation and has received high marks as one of the most difficult golf courses in Indiana.
