Amanda Blumenherst’s passion for golf began at age 4 and was inspired by her parents, who met on a golf course.

A standout at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Amanda was a four-time Rolex All-American and led her high school team to four consecutive state championships, setting the Arizona 5A Girls’ State Tournament record at −9.

Her collegiate career at Duke University was remarkable. Amanda was a three-time National Player of the Year, helped secure an NCAA Championship, earned the Honda Award, the U.S. Women’s Amateur title in 2008, and had the unique distinction of being the only three-time Nancy Lopez Award recipient. She also represented the U.S. on the 2006 and 2008 Curtis Cup Teams.

Turning professional in 2009, Amanda quickly earned her LPGA Tour card and made an immediate impact, achieving multiple top-10 finishes, including a career-best fifth place in 2012. Known for her powerful drives and fierce competitiveness, she was recognized as one of the most promising talents in women’s golf.

Off the course, Amanda is an advocate for women in sports and a mentor to young athletes. She’s married to former MLB player Nate Freiman, and enjoys family life, outdoor activities, reading and baking.
