Pinehurst, NC 28374

Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst is situated in the heartland of American golf – a place where golf is more than a pastime, it is a way of life. Located just one mile from the quaint, historic Village of Pinehurst, the gated Pinewild Country Club offers its residents a gracious and private lifestyle, with spacious homesites and pristine views surrounded by three of the most beautiful golf courses found anywhere in the world – one of which was designed by the legendary Gary Player.

Pinewild is a residential country club with singular credentials, a world where fairways spread across emerald meadows beneath candelabra pines, and winter barely whispers past a golfing season that never ends.

In addition to 45 holes of golf, Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst boasts a world-class practice facility and Golf Academy, a 25-meter Olympic swimming pool and children’s wading pool, 3 Har-Tru tennis courts, 4 Har-Tru Pickleball courts and a centrally located clubhouse that houses the golf shop, locker rooms, dining rooms, snack bar and patio that overlooks the Magnolia course.

If you are looking for a home in the Pinehurst area, Pinewild is the perfect choice, as potential residents can choose between a golf site, a spot on the lake or a serene forest site.

Originally designed by Gene Hamm, the 18-hole, par 72 Magnolia Course opened to rave reviews in 1989, and within two months, was ranked by Golf Week as one of the top 50 courses in the southeastern United States.

Magnolia is a local favorite in an area that boasts numerous award-winning courses. The course is characterized by vast elevation changes, generous driving areas and spacious, challenging greens.

With the back tees measuring almost 7,500 yards, club members like to say Magnolia is, “no bark, but all bite.”

Designed by Gary Player, the Holly Course is the perfect complement to Magnolia. Holly features fewer bunkers, more water and smaller greens. Vast areas of longleaf pines were left untouched, and the course features numerous natural waste bunkers. The design utilizes the property’s many lakes, ponds and streams that wind through numerous wooded areas throughout the course.

Multiple tees present a variety of challenges, but the course is definitely playable for golfers of all skill levels. The Holly underwent a Greens Complex renovation in 2020 when the greens were replaced with Diamond Zoysia grass.

As a group, these holes require most golfers to use every iron in their bags to play them. The course traverses natural, rolling land tucked within the back nine of the Magnolia course. The Azalea plays to a nine-hole par 27, but two sets of tees enable golfers to get 18 different looks.

The Donald Ross-style bunkers, scattered throughout the course, appear as though they are greenside but are actually up to 15 yards short of the putting green.
